Getting started with Goldie

Welcome to Goldie! This guide will walk you through the basic steps of setting up your business so that you can start scheduling like a pro.


  1. Create your Goldie account

    Once you've downloaded the Goldie app, you'll see a login screen when you open it. There, you'll be able to use one of several different methods to log in. To learn more about setting up your account, check out this article.



  2. Add your service offerings

    To create a new service, go to Menu (☰) → Services → tap on the “+” button. Then, simply set the name of the service, for example, “Women's haircut,” its price, its duration, and whether or not you want clients to be able to book it online.

  1. Create your first appointment

    To create a new appointment yourself, tap on your preferred time slot in the calendar (or the blue "+" icon in the bottom right corner). Then, add the client(s), select the desired services, and you’re all set!

  1. Set up appointment reminders

    To update your reminder templates, go to Menu (☰) → Settings → Messages. Then, tap on the existing type of message template you'd like to edit (such as "Reminders") or create a new template using the "+" button in the top right corner.

    Start by updating the text that will be sent to your clients in the "Template" field. You can insert custom fields that will automatically be updated for each message you send (such as client name, appointment time, or total cost) using the purple widgets in the "Insert Field" area.


    Once you've finalized the message text, you can also change the Sending Times, the Message Template, and the Date & Time Format (including choosing between the 12-hour or 24-hour options) for each message.



  1. Customize your online booking page

    Goldie provides you with a customizable webpage that allows you to automatically accept bookings from your clients, 24/7. It's always updated with your latest availability.


    To edit your online booking page details, go to the Menu (☰) → Settings → Online Booking. Then, edit the following details for your business to personalize your page: 
    1. Name
    2. Description
    3. Address
    4. Logo and image
    5. Hours (when you're open) 

  2. Set up payment processing (for Pro/Team subscribers)

    Goldie empowers subscribers to collect deposits from customers when they book online, and accept payments and tips automatically. To make checking customers out and getting paid easy, see our guide on setting up payments with Goldie.
