How do I customize my message template?

Goldie makes it easy to send messages to clients before and/or after appointments and for you to customize the messages you send. You’ll default see three message templates when you create your Goldie account: Instant Booking Notification, Reminder, and Follow-Up.


To update a message template, simply take these steps:

  1. Open Goldie (and ensure you are logged into your account)
  2. Go to Menu (☰) → Settings → Messages
  3. From the list of templates shown, tap on the one you would like to edit
    1. Note: You can also create a new template by tapping the “+” in the top right corner
  4. From this Edit message screen, you can tap the following options to edit them:
    1. Sending times: when the message is sent (or you are reminded to send the message if you don’t subscribe to a plan with automated messaging)
    2. Template: the actual content of the reminder sent to clients (which can include Widgets that will automatically populate each message with the corresponding appointment’s details such as client name, start time, etc.)
    3. Date & time format: how information about appointment day/month/year and hours will be presented in the message
    4. Default (checkbox): when a template is selected as a “Default,” it will automatically be set up as a message for every new appointment
