How do I set up Payments?

Payment processing is a powerful feature that is available to all users who have subscribed to one of Goldie's paid plans. These users can easily set up Payment Processing by taking the following steps: 


  1. Open Goldie (and ensure you are logged into your account) 

  2. Go to Menu (☰)   Payments

     
  3. Tap “Set up payment processing”

  4. You’ll be redirected to a new screen and prompted to set up an account with Stripe. Enter the necessary information, then tap "Continue". 


  5. Keep entering the required information to move through Stripe’s account setup — which starts with setting a password and then involves entering key information about your business

  6. Once you’ve entered all the information required by Stripe, tap “Submit” to continue. (You’ll then be directed to return to the Payments menu in Goldie)
    1. As a final step to verify you’re Stripe account, you may be required to upload documents to confirm your identity. To do so, navigate to Menu (☰) Payments in Goldie and then tap “Upload”
    2. You’ll then be taken to your Stripe account, where you can upload the relevant documents (be sure to click “Submit” when finished)
    3. Once the documents are received by Stripe, you’ll receive an email from Stripe requiring confirmation to confirm your account. Simply click the link in the email to confirm

  7. Once your account creation is successful, the “Payment” screen in Goldie will show the “Balance” of your account (a currency amount). Your Payment account is now set up through Goldie/Stripe - congratulations! You can now accept deposits, payments, and tips from clients. Note that it may take several hours to validate the information provided




Note: If you cancel your Goldie subscription, you won’t be able to process new payments - but you will still have access to your Stripe account.
